The Story

Dating back to the 17th century, clear rock crystal was mostly used as a protective layer set atop a portrait, initials, or locks of hair. Moving into the Victorian Era, it was used more decoratively as jewelers played with its texture through carvings, intaglios, and finishes. This stunning Victorian heart pendant is a masterful balance of texture and dimension! An ethereal frosted rock crystal heart, framed by the glittering flash of 2 carats of Old Mine Cut diamonds and 0.04 carats of Rose Cut diamond accents. The lovely patina of the silver clawed collet setting is a striking contrast to the smooth rock crystal and makes the diamonds pop! At the center of the heart is a 0.50 carat Old Mine Cut diamond, echoing the the collet setting border and diamond studded bail. The craftsmanship of this piece has stood the test of time and is sure to be an heirloom for years to come!
