- Persian Heirloom Black Onyx Aqeeq Center Bead
- Aqeeq, Akik or aqiq means “quartz”, however usually refers to the chalcedony variant of quartz. Well-known types of chalcedony are carnelian, agate, and onyx and black onyx. It is considered a semi-precious gem stone, and rings, necklaces and beads with carnelian and onyx have special significance in the Islamic religion.
