Antique French Salmon Red Coral and Silver Tortoise Shell Ornamental Hair Comb, Tiara

Superb condition and beauty, an ornamental hair comb, Napoleon III era (c.1850-70s) chignon arched tortoise shell comb mounted in silver and jeweled with cut beads of salmon colored coral. Red coral was thought to be a talisman with protective qualities, particularly in regards young women. Full measurements noted on photos.

Very good to excellent condition throughout, no nips to the tines, no cracks or breaks to coral and the silver is undamaged, no dents or dings. Very well preserved.
