Antique French 14k Gold and Kiln-fired Enamel Brooch and Screwback Earrings Set, Demi Parure

A delightful demi-parure, 3 piece Belle Epoch set of kiln-fired enamel plaque and 14k gold jewelry (the screw backs and chains, small safeguard pin are in 14k gold). The screw back was invented in 1890, and many Art Nouveau (Belle Epoch) jewelry items of that era through to WWII were made in this manner, avoiding pierced ears. I found this French set in London ages ago. NOTE: The photos taken on a couple antique boxes are to get good color balances – these jewelry items do not come with the boxes.  Full measurements noted on the photos. 

Very good to excellent for age and type. It’s quite usual for kiln-fired enamel to have cracked or chipped if ever dropped, and I can see a couple of very tiny spots of disruption in these enlarged images. In person, in hand, in wear, you’ll never see them. Remember, I have not weighed these because only the earring screw back apparatus and chains, the safety chain and pin on brooch are 14k gold. All 3 kiln-fired enamel plaques are a gold-looking alloy of brass, slightly convex (see images of backs).
