Pair Antique 18th Century French Peigne, Paste Gem Hair Ornaments, Ormolu and Tortoise Shell Combs

Superb condition, these will be a pair you’ll enjoy wearing or in display. Fine late 1700s hair ornament pair, pick combs to decorate an upswept chignon – wedding, formal event, or just an evening entertaining at home. The gilt ormolu and paste gems remain in beautiful brilliance, and there are no losses or damage to the long slender tortoise shell combs. Full measurements noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I’m pressed to find any flaws to point out, and no loss to the 2mm to 5mm gems which mimic diamonds. They are French ‘paste’ gems, not diamonds, however. Lots of photos for your review. The red box is not included, as noted on photos.
